Deal's Wheels Plane Sketches
Aaah, what might have been... wouldn't it be great to have that never-built P-51 at the top sitting next to Rif Raf (middle) and Weiner Moldy (bottom) in your display case? Notice the famous 1-2-3 salutes, only Rif Raf's peace sign salute made it into production! Notice the details, the P-51 apparently took out one of Rif Raf's flying companions; also the Big Deal explained to me that the joke behind "VOR" (on Weiner's ME-109) as follows:
"The VOR on the Messaschnitzle also is a joke. A Visual Omni Range is as you know a navigation aid for pilots.
VOR in German means forward, and with that big squadron commanders emblem that looks like an arrow, it was supposed to be funny, but few people get it, it's too arcane."
